I had a wonderful time yesterday speaking at Disability Connection's monthly meeting. Janie O'Keefe has built a great community of involved and passionate people who are committed to full inclusion for everyone. I met many wonderful people and am looking forward to collaborating with them.
On Saturday, February 25, Disability Connection is holding their annual Arbor Day event. There is a race for all abilities, and booths for different non-profits and businesses. I'm going to have a booth for Family First Braille.
I am going to bring my slate and stylus, and a Braille alphabet card. I'm going to let people make some Braille letters. I'm also going to have a drawing for a prize. Maybe a Walmart gift card. I'll also have brochures and business cards. If you have any other ideas on what I should have at my booth, let me know in the comments.
So if you are in the area, and want to get a chance to write some Braille, come and see my booth!
