Yesterday we talked about the Special Olympics program, and today, I'd like to talk about it's history. It was started by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, because of her experience with her sister, Rosemary Kennedy. Her story is close to my heart, because I started Family First Braille because of my experience with my son, Tyler.
Here are some links that will tell you more about Mrs. Shriver and the history of the Special Olympics program.
I'm the owner of Family First Braille, the author of this blog, and the editor of Family First Braille Magazine.
