June 20-22, 2012, in Jackson, MS
Many organizations serving people with disabilities will gather in Jackson this week. I am so excited to attend the conference and learn more about issues in Mississippi that affect people with disabilities. I am hoping this conference will be an annual event. No matter what the issue, it's easier to make changes when everyone stands together. This is the link to the conference.
What else should I do in Jackson?
Some of the meals for the conference will be on our own, so I will be looking for good restaurants in Jackson. Is there anything else I should do while I'm there? I have been there only once before, for the day. I haven't spent any time there at all. If you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments.
I will post what I learn later on this blog.
There are several break out sessions, and key note speakers. I am sure I will learn a lot and will have a lot to share when I get back. I'll be blogging in the meantime and will be able to check for comments also.
