Community Classes for Community Integration
As you've read on our website, one of our goals at Family First Braille is to break barriers to community integration for people with visual impairments. One of the ways we do that is to provide recreational opportunities for people with visual impairments, and also opportunities to learn about visual impairment for the community. We will post our upcoming class schedule here, as well as pictures from our past classes.
Valentine's Day Cards, Thursday, January 21, 2016.
We had such a good time making tactile and braille Valentine's day cards for children at the Mississippi School for the Blind. Look at the pretty cards we made.
Summer Music Program, 2015
Many children go to day camps and learn about art or music during the summer. We wanted to make sure that children with special needs got the same opportunity, with a program specially designed for them. We plan to offer this program every summer, so if you are interested, please email me at BrendaRamsey@familyfirstbraille.com. We have space for eight children per week, so our program fills up quickly. The pictures below are of little Jacob, our assistant, Austin, and my son, Justin, who helps us out when he's home from college.
